Welcome
Welcome to the June edition of "in the klick", did I just say June? At the half-way mark of twentyten we can't quite believe how rapidly this year is whizzing by.
The team at Klick are definitely making the most of a great year and thrilled to update with you our exciting news. We recently unleashed a Social Media Guru on the world and we would like to introduce him to you now.....please meet Brian, we are sure you'll love him as much as we do.
Forward to Basics Seminar
Did you miss Klick's "Forward to Basics" seminar? With some help from our good friends Scott Rhodie, Heather Snodgrass and Mandi Bateson, Klick gave business owners a crash course in Social Media 101.
Check out the video on the Klickblog, and if you can't dedicate a full hour to it, there's a "Top Seven Tips" from the session on the same page. Klick on through for the strategies.
MumSpace
Sharing an audience with over 1000 sassy mamas is pretty rare. Because they tend to spend their time with small people. Very small people. Crying small people. Small people who throw tantrums in the supermarket. Small people who can't yet talk.
This week Medina MumSpacers have shared that their smalls like to wear underwear on their head (heck who doesn't?), that their 3 year old swears like a wharfie (wonder who he got that from?!), and one lucky mama has won a night at the Medina of her choice (will she ever go back home?).
Stick with MumSpace. We take mamas to all the good places. Like Medina.
The iPad L(a)unch
This week the Klick team was very excited to not only be part of an Australian first, but to have actually organised it!
The iPad L(a)unch was held at Mundo Global Tapas (Rydges, North Sydney) to celebrate the first occasion of an Australian restaurant using the glorious Apple iPad as a menu and ordering system. Run by a custom made application, guests were invited to preview all the dishes on the menu and were shown an entirely hassle (and waiter!) free way of ordering.
And whilst a few of you may have missed out on an invite, you can catch up with this vid thanks to The Daily Telegraph.
Webisodes
One lucky Klicker discovered this month that the best way to cure Mondayitus is to spend the day in a shiny new Electrolux kitchen with half a dozen talented chefs and 16 kilograms of prawns. Yes, in the name of work, Klick invited chefs from some of Sydney's best known restaurants (Emmilou, The Victoria Room, Hugo's, Ormeggio), television shows (Masterchef) and foodies (Victor Pisapia) to try their hand at the Crystal Bay Prawns 'Threelicious challenge'.
A challenge already open to the Homechef Heroes of Australia in the form of a contest , our favourite chefs were filmed cooking their tastiest prawn recipe with only 3 other ingredients in less than 3 minutes.
Webisodes will be available for your viewing pleasure later this month by clicking here
Glamour makes a comeback
Klick Communications has been appointed to manage the publicity campaign for a very exciting residential development in the heart of Potts Point. Being developed by The Toga Group, "The Hampton
" is just about to be launched and you will soon be reading all about it, as friends of Klick learn about it here first.
Immaculately restored and beautifully detailed, The Hampton’s stunning transformation heralds the return of glamour to the heart of Sydney’s inner East.
History tells us that The Hampton was once a magnet for city sophisticates from all around the world searching for their piece of refined city living.
Rapid gentrification is placing this sought-after suburb of Potts Point centre stage in amongst award-winning restaurants, flourishing flower shops, Euro-style delis and fashion boutiques. The Hampton’s restoration presents a unique and limited opportunity to live a glamorous lifestyle that fuses the golden age of Art Deco with cutting-edge contemporary design.

Introducing....Kaitlin Hines
Hi! My name is Kaitlin Hines and I am currently studying Management with a minor in Marketing at Purdue University, which is located in Midwest America.
During my semesters at school, I am an active member in the Chi Omega Fraternity where I enjoy spending time with all of my wonderful sorority sisters. Outside of my studies, I spend my free time participating in philanthropies, volunteering at a local school for underprivileged children, exercising, and taking as much time as possible to build friendships with those around me.
When I am not at school during the year, I love to travel and relax with my family. I am extremely excited about being here in Australia and look forward to everything that Sydney has to offer, including the incredible experience that I will get from working at Klick!
